Course Booking Terms and Conditions

 

IMPORTANT: Please read these terms and conditions, as your contract starts from the date that you book your course and is legally binding.

Booking a Course

Please fill in the booking form with all relevant information, this allows the tutor to see what prior knowledge you hold to check you are suitable for the course. Emailing a copy of your main therapy qualification can be included with your booking form (if required).

Paying for your course

You can pay for the course by direct bank transfer or PayPal.  We do accept credit cards via PayPal.  Details will be emailed once booking form is received. Course places are only confirmed upon receipt of the course payment.

All deposits and full course payments are STRICTLY NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE. If students do not attend on the day without prior notice, they will lose, or be responsible for, the full course fee.

Polished Nail and Beauty Training reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or change the location of the course and, in this unlikely event, will offer you an alternative course date.

Places cannot be confirmed payment has been made.

It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that the courses you apply for are suitable for your requirements and that you have the pre-requisite qualifications and the competence to be able to achieve the objectives of this course, this will be confirmed with the tutor. All student information will be confidential, nor will it be disclosed to other parties.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Polished Nail and Beauty Training accepts no responsibility for any direct or indirect loss or damage, foreseeable or otherwise, including any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of this website, or any information contained therein.

It is your responsibility to check that your insurance will cover you for these courses. All Polished courses are accredited by Associated Beauty Therapists.

Course manual

The course manual and supporting documents are the property of Polished Nail and Beauty Training and is protected by copyright. You cannot reproduce any of the manual without express written permission from us. You will be in breach of contract by using the manual or teaching the subject from the manual.

 

 

Professional Standards

Polished Nail and Beauty Training teaches courses to a high standard adhering to all health and safety standards throughout.

Certificates are issued to students who have shown competence throughout the assessment stages of the course. Certificates are given out to students who have shown competence throughout the course. Polished Training does not operate a guaranteed pass course. However, in the event that a learner does not reach the Polished Training Standard, further advice and support will be available to help the student achieve a pass.

For professional standards, a certificate is awarded to show competence but it is expected that each therapist practices at least 6-10 times depending on skill level and experience before taking payment and advertising for clients.

Attending the course

You will be expected to turn up on time for the course, the tutor is generally available for up to 20 minutes prior to the course start time. Any medical conditions should be discussed prior to the course, and noted on your booking form. You should be prepared to give and receive treatments throughout the course to complete and be deemed competent. Models are provided for some courses. Educators should be notified when learners are running late.

  • Please wear comfortable clothing and professional dress code (black top, trousers or tunic etc) for practical courses. Hair should be tied back for practical session and minimal jewellery worn.
  • Short nails, you cannot perform massage with long nails, so please do not turn up with long nails.
  • Any items left will need to be picked up. If they are posted out Polished Nail and Beauty Training holds no responsibility to them arriving and a fee will be charged for postage. Items will be kept safe for collection.

Sickness and non-attendance

If a learner cannot make a session the learner must contact the tutor prior to the session stating the reason for this. In sickness or emergency situations Polished courses the tutor will re arrange the session with the learner once only. Further re-arrangements will be chargeable, this fee amount is at the discretion of the tutor.

Complaints Procedure

In the unlikely event your training course with us does not meet your expectations, in the first instance please email info@polishednailandbeautytraining.co.uk with the details of your complaint. The complaint will need to be submitted within 48 days following your training course.  You will receive a response within 7 working days.

VTCT Courses
